Free Cash Flow Yield
Free cash flow as a percentage of a company’s market value.
Free cash flow yield divides a company’s free cash flow by its market capitalization, showing how much real, spendable cash the business throws off for every dollar of its stock-market value. It works like an earnings yield but uses cash rather than accounting profit, which is harder to massage. A higher yield can point to a cheaper valuation, though a sustainably low yield may simply reflect a company reinvesting heavily to grow.
